A ring of deep black, with colour at its heart that shifts with the light.

A round pendant in ancient bog oak, set in red-tinted jewellery resin, with natural Baltic amber. The oak’s deep black is entirely natural: it formed without any dye, through long contact between the wood, water and minerals. Natural Baltic amber — fossilised resin from forests some 40 million years old — brings warm, honeyed light into the composition. The red resin recalls the glow of embers, and the amber the sparks rising from them — hence the name Baltic Ember.

The circle draws the eye to the centre of the composition, so the material takes the lead. About 40 mm across — clearly visible, yet comfortable to wear. A high-gloss finish emphasises the depth of the materials.
