A round pendant in ancient bog oak from a deposit whose samples were radiocarbon-dated to around 7,500 years. The oak’s deep black is entirely natural: it formed without any dye, through long contact between the wood, water and minerals. A faceted crystal brings a controlled play of light and a clear counterpoint to the black of the oak.

The circle draws the eye to the centre of the composition, so the material takes the lead. About 45 mm across — clearly visible, yet comfortable to wear. A high-gloss finish emphasises the depth of the materials.
